None of these are deactivated Guns as time, mud and water have done a fine job of deactivting them (deactivated by other means is the official term) and some are solid, some ghave the odd moving part but no license is required to own them. Both armies tore each other apart and the guns we have here we all dropped and lost in this major WW2 battle. These have all been dug up in the battlefields of the Courland Pocket - a bloody siege from June `44 to May `45 where the battered German North Army Group lead by Field Marshal Shoerner having failed at the siege of Lenningrad, then in turn were cut off by advancing Red Army firces and held in siege for almost a year. Some bear the scares of action - the DP28 is the best example of that, with shell/mortar damage cleary ripping through the gun in period action. Here we have our selection of WW2 dug up relics - all dropped in action, frozen in time and thought lost forever.
